Call for Tracks and Track Chairs is open
Nordic Conference on Small Business Research is organized in Turku on 29.-31.5.2024.
We are now looking for conference tracks and track chairs.
If interested in co-organizing a track at NCSB please send your track proposal by 15th March by e-mail to ncsb2024@utu.fi
The proposal should include the following:
- The suggested track title
- A short description of the track (80-150 words)
- Names of the track chairs – preferably at least 2-3 track chairs from two different (Nordic) countries. (All listed persons need to have agreed to being track chairs).
The selection of tracks will be done by 31st March. In case of competing/overlapping track proposals, the conference organizers may also invite track chairs to negotiate potential collaboration or differentiation tactics.
Call for Papers will open later in 2023
The conference will feature a mix of special theme tracks, general tracks and paper development tracks.
Special theme tracks will focus on research themes that are central in Nordic research on small business and entrepreneurship and will be announced later on the website. General tracks will be divided into an entrepreneurship track and a SME track.
In 2024 special theme tracks and general tracks will again feature presentations of research papers followed by constructive feedback in plenary discussions. In the paper development tracks, participants are divided into groups in which all participants have read the assigned papers, and time will be distributed to group discussions on how to improve the paper. The paper development tracks will be of particular interest and value to young scholars. An experienced scholar will be assigned to each group.
The conference program will also feature keynote speeches by Professors Maija Renko (De Paul University, USA) and Eero Vaara (University of Oxford, UK).
Come and enjoy spring in Turku!
